Grade four teacher Stephanie Thompson said the grade four students were determined to raise money for such a good cause and decided that a special hot dog lunch, dressing up like a farmer for the day, and having a ‘Disco for the Drought’ would be the perfect way to raise some much-needed funds.
“The grade four class would like to say a huge thank you to all students, families, and teachers who supported this fantastic cause,” Miss Thompson said.
“Together we raised $1435.20 for Rural Aid Australia.
“We would like to say a big thank you to the Harrow-Balmoral Football Netball Club for its generous donation of hot dogs to support our special lunch, also to Mrs Lisa Cameron and Mrs Kate Wardlaw who generously donated their time to assist on the day,” Miss Thompson said.
