FIXTURES for Horsham District Football Netball League’s 2019 season have been released.
Round one will begin on April 6, with a football grand final rematch between Harrow-Balmoral and Kalkee the headline game.
It will be played on one of the reigning premier’s home grounds, as Kalkee tries to enact revenge after last season’s 25-point loss.
In other round one matches, Swifts will take on Natimuk United at home, Laharum host Noradjuha-Quantong, Edenhope-Apsley play Pimpinio and Rupanyup taks on Taylors Lake.
The match-ups provide several interesting football contest start the season, with the competing teams evenly poised.
Jeparit-Rainbow have the round one bye, and will play their first match of the season at Natimuk against Natimuk United in round two. The game will be a rematch of last season’s elimination final that Jeparit-Rainbow won by 17 points.
In A Grade netball, a grand final rematch between fierce competitors Laharum and Natimuk United will have to wait until round 11, with the sides scheduled to play each other at Natimuk on June 29.
