Martin will test himself in the region’s best league after winning under-21 player of the year in the Horsham District league with Laharum last season.
Martin has played all of his junior football with Laharum and was one of their best last season, being named in the best 13 times and averaging over a goal a game.
Horsham Saints coach Luke Fisher said Martin will be a handy acquisition.
“He’s obviously been playing good footy at Laharum and now wants to have a crack at Wimmera footy and wants to challenge himself, so he’ll be a good addition,” he said.
Fisher said Martin provides some much needed height for the Saints, something they’ve been targeting this off-season.
“He brings a bit of height that we were probably lacking a little bit of,” he said.
“We’re not trying to recruit everyone and anyone, we’re recruiting for position – Angus is a big guy so he will help there.
“We have a lot of good kids and we want to work with what we've got and help those kids grow into good footballers.”
