YARRIAMBAICK Shire Council has secured $790,000 worth of funding through the Fixing Country Roads Package.

In his report to the council, Infrastructure and Planning director James Magee said the council submitted two applications and both were successful.
“There was a very turnaround and we were provided with an agreement,” he said.
Construction and sealing of four kilometres of Bells Road will have a total cost $620,000. The council will contribute $40,000 to the project and $580,000 will be contributed by Regional Roads Victoria.
The reconstruction of Coorong Swamp Road, spanning 1.6km, will have a total cost $315,000. The council will contribute $105,000, while Regional Roads Victoria will contribute $210,000.
