Clark will fight at the Melbourne Pavilion in support of a main event fight between Jayde Mitchell and Dane Poulsen.
With general admission tickets already sold out, Clark said he was excited by the prospect of fighting in front of a strong crowd.
“We’re expecting a sellout, there are only a few tables left,” he said.
“It should be a crowd of over 3000. I reckon it’s going to be close to the biggest crowd of my career.”
Despite the expected attendance, Clark isn’t feeling the pressure.
“The big crowd gets me more excited actually,” he said. “I’m just keen to get in there and put on a good show.”
Clark was excited to share a drawcard with his friend Jayde Mitchell, and hoped to share the main event sometime soon.
“I originally fought Jayde (Mitchell) for the supermiddle-weight title when I first started out a few years ago and he beat me,” he said.
“We’re good mates in the boxing community. It will be a good stepping stone for me.”
It is Clark’s second fight after taking two years away from the sport. He won his first bout in a points decision 10 weeks ago.
“It’s been good to get back into the ring after a good two year break,” Clark said.
“Training has been pretty flat out, six days a week just keeping my body fit and getting the mind in the right place.”
Clark said it is going to be an interesting challenge against his unorthodox opponent Omar Kimweri.
“He used to be a Muay Thai fighter up in Queensland, so he’s a bit unusual,” Clark said.
“He’s a very tough opponent. Very tall and with a really long reach on him. It’s going to be a real challenge for me as a smaller guy.
“He keeps his opponent at long distance and likes to keep his opponents away from him so it’s going to be a challenge for me.”
