Josie Thomas has been presented with the Australian Academy of Theatrical and Ballet Dancing Laura Mitchell Perpetual Award - a national award for completing the most dance exams across all students in Australia.

Josie completed nine exams, which included grades 4, prep 5 and 5 theatrical, medallion, advanced bronze, advanced silver and advanced gold tap as well as pre-primary and primary ballet.
The examinations were held in August at The Dancer's Zone studios and adjudicated by Miss Deena Peacock from Melbourne. Students are required to perform a set number of exercises and routines per examination and have a thorough knowledge of theory. Josie achieved high honours in all nine examinations.
