West Wimmera Group president Sadie Williams indicated that the initiative enjoyed a good outcome, with a few of the members staying on to share patterns and ideas with group leader, Helen Tory, for items suitable as souvenirs for the World Conference next April.
The group conference date has been changed to fit in with guests from headquarters and nearby groups and is now set for Wednesday, February 27.
The conference will be held at the CWA Hall in Horsham. Craft competition is "Faces", individual entries, no limit to the number of entries or participants, to be judged. Can be faces of people, animals, clocks or anything you can think of with a face – your interpretation.
The field days were discussed and CWA expects to be there again, as we are still celebrating the 90th birthday it will be our theme. The birthday biscuit book will be on sale, so you are encouraged to start practicing for recipes from the book so we will have tasty samples to offer to the public to try.
A number of other ideas were discussed to go back to branches regarding craft days and branch social day.
Drung South news: November meeting discussed syllabus and competitions were decided. Members reported on the Dimboola High Tea.
Continuing on the Peruvian travels, members were told of the chores the local ladies are expected to perform such as tending the sheep and carrying large bundles of cane on top of their heads. Christmas gifts will be delivered to our friend, Kym, who lives in Stawell.

On Monday, December 10, ladies of the craft group of Horsham Branch celebrated their Christmas lunch and final craft day for this year. Colourful Christmas trees were a very popular choice.
