The college has been well-known for its musical productions. The students were given a new opportunity to perform Shakespeare’s play Much Ado About Nothing.
Jayden Robertson, who plays Benedick, was also in the musical this year.
He said the play strips back the singing and dancing and left more room to focus on acting.
“There are a lot of lines to learn, which are different and usual,” he said. “Musicals are very different – there is room to improvise, but with Shakespeare it sounds wrong so you have to know your lines.”
Ruby Risson, who plays Hero, also performed in the Happy Days musical, but she said she has always been interested in plays.
Ruby said she enjoyed college performances because they brought together different students with a shared passion.
She said it gave her a chance to make new friends.
The play is at the college’s hall on Dimboola Road at 7.30pm. Free entry.
