Langley was appointed following the completion of the 2018 season, but will now be moving to Tasmania for work.
Burras netball director Laura Delahunty said it was disappointing to lose Langley, who has been taking pre-season training.
“We are obviously very disappointed to lose Alice – she has done a mountain of work since the end of last season and she is still working quite hard until we fill the position,” she said.
“She has described the new job as her dream job and obviously that has to come before and we wish her all the best.
“We are advertising now and we are hoping for everyone to have expressed interest by December 20 and move from there. All of our other netball positions have been filled.”
Despite losing Langley, the A Grade squad looks to be in a good position. The side has been strengthened by the acquisitions of Edenhope-Apsley A Grade pair Alex Lang and Rachel Elmslie as well as returning players Jess Elder and Spencer Smith.
Lang won last season’s Horsham District league best under-21 netball player as well as Edenhope-Apsley’s best and fairest.
Langley said she was sad to be leaving the club but is confident the A Grade squad is in a good position.
“We have potentially four new A Grade players at the moment and that depth has really been added across those A and B Grade sides, and especially in defence,” she said.
“It’s not to say I’ll never come back – I’ve really enjoyed my time there. I’ve been waiting for this job to come up and it’s one of those opportunities that is just too good to pass up.
“I’ll be organising and running pre-season until they find a new coach and helping get next season set up, so we aren’t on the back foot come round one.”
