Quantong played Lubeck-Murtoa at Horsham’s City Oval and bowled the Mudlarks out for 97 runs inside 16 overs.
Graeme Reddie top scored for the Mudlarks opening the batting and making 36 runs. The rest of the side’s scorecard was bleak, with just two other batsmen making it into double figures.
Stuart Jose was the pick of the Quantong bowlers, taking 4-26 from his four overs.
Quantong was in a lot of trouble early in what should have been an easy run chase, with its first three batsman all being dismissed for ducks.
Tim Brand, 18, and Matthew Cummins, 26 not-out, settled for Quantong as the side reached the total with four wickets to spare.
All the other games in B Grade were called off due to the rain, including two games at Dudley Cornell Park.
In C Grade, two games were decided before it rained.
COLTS made 9-122 batting first against Blackheath-Dimboola, with Jay Couch’s 38 runs the best for his side in the Twenty20 encounter. In reply, the Bulls fell short, reaching 5-105 in the allotted overs.
RUP-MINYIP has also secured a win in a close game against the Horsham Saints.
The Saints reached 6-100 with opener Matthew Grace finishing not out on 42 runs.
Rup-Minyip chased down the total with the loss of just one wicket.
Homers and Jung’s clash was called off due to the rain, while Laharum had a bye.
