Seven races were run throughout the day with some close winners. Primary school kids also took on the wet track and raced, getting active and winning prizes.
Santa arrived at around 4PM, handing out lollies and presents to all the kids and even some adults.
Fashions on the field happened earlier in the day with the best dressed awarded for their effort.
“It’s a bit of a different spin on fashions on the field,” Horsham District Racing Club manager Lisa Inkster said.
“It’s a bit more aimed at the kids and families, not just the traditional lady of the day and that sort of thing.”
