Senior Constable Adrian Hoggett said the man, 40, was stopped by police on the Western Highway on Christmas Eve.
He said police also caught five people speeding on the highway within an hour on the same day.
“It’s pretty shocking. Everybody was in a hurry,” he said.
Senior Constable Hoggett implored people to slow down and drive responsibly, especially during the busy festive season.
