He is being airlifted to Royal Melbourne Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
UPDATE 4pm: Ambulance Victoria has confirmed an air ambulance is set to airlift the man to a hospital out of town.
A road ambulance took the man from the scene around quarter to four, and soon after reopened both lanes of the road to traffic.
Police said the vehicle was travelling east-bound into Horsham when the crash occurred about 2.30pm.
They said the vehicle swerved across Dimboola Road and hit a tree at full speed.
There are no other injuries from the crash.
Investigations continue.
EARLIER: A MAN has been injured in a crash in Horsham this afternoon.
About 10 emergency service vehicles from the police, the Country Fire Authority and paramedics are on the scene of the crash on Dimboola Road.
Paramedics are assisting the man.
Emergency services were called to the scene about 2.45pm.
The front of the black Jeep involved in the crash is damaged. There are no other reports of injuries.
Police are directing traffic and one lane remains open.
