The team won against the Warrnambool Mermaids on Saturday night and the Bellarine Storm on Sunday.
The wins have secured the Lady Hornets inside the top four with next weekend’s double-header the final round before finals.
On Saturday night, the Hornets proved too good for the Warrnambool Mermaids as they ran away with an 80-55 victory.
Faith McKenzie starred for the Horsham based side with 23 points, while Georgia Hiscock was in good touch from distance, hitting three three-pointers on her way to 17 points.
Cannane Jess also provided a lot of energy and leadership throughout the contest, on the court and sidelines.
Ema Iredell eased her way back into the action after missing last weekend's game with 16 points before she exploded the next day scoring 25 in the win against the Bellarine Storm.
The Lady Hornets played suffocating defence against the Storm, holding them to less than 50 points in the 66-47 victory.
Youngster Georgia Carberry chipped in with two threes and eight points, while McKenzie ensured it was a productive weekend for her with 14 points on Sunday.
Hornets, in third place, are a chance to move into second place on the ladder as they sit just one game behind the Millicent Magic.
The Lady Hornets are ahead on percentage and have played one fewer game than Magic.
