Bruce stepped up to the free-throw line late in the third quarter and made both shots. In doing so, Bruce along with brother Aaron became the first brothers in history to both score points for the Adelaide 36ers. A proud moment for the Bruce family.
The match was Bruce’s best performance so far for the 36ers, as he finished with two points and two assists from his 8 minutes of game time.
Bruce’s performance was also about more than the stat sheet.
He looked comfortable at the NBL level as he controlled the pace of play and kick-started a run for the 36ers in the third term to keep them in the contest.
The side eventually lost to the title favourites 114-91, but it was an impressive night out for Bruce.
