Long-time Pimpinio netballer Renee Clarkson has taken the helm as A Grade coach and said she was looking forward to the season.
“It’s definitely a new step forward for me but I’m very excited and happy the club has put faith in me to do the job,” Clarkson said.

Clarkson said the main goal for the upcoming season was just to keep improving.
“The focus is all about learning and improving our skills,” she said.
“We’ve done some positive recruiting – some new girls come with great reputations so fingers crossed we can be a bit better than we were last year.”
In other coaching positions, Lana Ellis has stepped up as B Grade coach, Lisa Ward will coach C Grade, Maree Thompson and Tyra Millgate C Reserve and Charmaine Koenig will coach under-17s.
In addition to the new faces in the coaching department, Pimpinio have brought in a new training program that they hope will assist their coaches.
“A lot of the time our coaches are missing out on training themselves, so we’ve brought in Kristenn Wilkinson to run sessions and help out,” Clakson said.
“She will run our preseason so the coaches can train as well. We’re hoping Kristenn will come and run some clinics during the season as well to take the pressure off coaches.”
