At the first meeting of the year, an enthusiastic audience heard Caterina Marigliani, from Parkinson’s Victoria, speak on all aspects of Parkinson’s.
Topics covered ranged from “what is Parkinson’s” through to the much appreciated $30 million research – Australian Parkinson’s Mission rolling out from July 2019 – a three-year program, starting in NSW, Queensland and Victoria followed by the other states.
If you are interested in participating in this research, register your interest by phoning 1300 770 577 and speak to your neurologist about your intentions.
Caterina had just spoken at Stawell and Hamilton so had a very busy schedule. She encouraged carers of Parkinson’s sufferers to attend Recently Diagnosed Sessions to be held at various locations throughout Victoria. Hamilton will host one on Thursday, July 4, Hamilton Base Hospital, Hamilton, 10am to 2pm.
The next meeting is on Friday, April 5.
