Playing with Waratah, Beugelaar was struck in the jaw by the shoulder of an opponent in a collision against Southern Districts two weekends ago.
After successful surgery, Beugelaar said he would be ready to go for round one despite the early prognosis.
"I'm feeling a lot better now, obviously I've got some numbness from the surgery but I'm trying to recover as quickly as possible," Beugelaar said.
"I can't eat solid food for six weeks and they said I can't play for about two months.
"But 100 per cent I'll be ready to go for round one. You can absolutely lock me in there, there's no way I'm missing it."
Beugelaar stepped up to the co-coaching role at Dimboola along with Matt Everett for the upcoming season.
Last season's coach and Dimboola legend Al McKinnon has meanwhile moved to the Horsham Demons.
