Trevor Templar appeared at Horsham Magistrates' Court on Thursday for a committal hearing. He pleaded not guilty to multiple charges.
Police were called to a Francis Street, Yanac property about 9pm on July 20 after reports a shot had been fired during a dispute between two men, who were known to each other.
A Nhill man, 22, who was also at the scene, was not injured.
Police charged Mr Templar in July with two counts of reckless conduct endangering life, two counts of reckless conduct endangering serious injury, making threats to kill and other firearm-related offences.
Mr Templar was 63 at the time of the alleged incident.
He was remanded and will next appear at Horsham County Court on March 14.
