Police are investigating the break in of a Parks Victoria vehicle from earlier in the week.
A tractor belonging to the Grampians National Park management group was broken into in the Lake Bellfield region on Monday night.
Radios and a battery and were stolen and the vehicle was also drained of its diesel.
"The vehicle was parked overnight and someone or a group has taken advantage of that," Halls Gap Leading Senior Constable Kellie Harris said.
"Investigations are ongoing to find who was responsible."
A Parks Victoria spokesperson said the vehicle sustained minor damage.
"(The damage) will put it out of action for a short while, interrupting some of our important fire management work," the spokesperson said.
“Anyone with any information should contact Police or get in touch with our Halls Gap office.”
