Kaniva police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at Serviceton.
Sergeant Darren Wright said items were stolen from a residential property.
“The shed was unlocked and personal items such as tools were stolen,” Sergeant Wright said.
“This is also a timely reminder for people to lock their doors and shed.”
The burglary occurred between February 25th and the 27th.
Sergeant Wright said the biggest problem was people took too long to report crimes to police.
“We need to know as soon as possible,” he said.
“Quite often we have people reporting thefts two days after the fact. If there is an item stolen, people need to ring triple-zero. If they can’t send someone out, then we can get out there as soon as possible.”
Sergeant Wright said anyone with information about the burglary at Serviceton could contact the police station on 5392 2244.
