Now in its 57th year, the three day event held at Longerenong managed to draw patrons from across the state.
Wednesday is family day with performances with plenty of activities for children, including a fashion show and musical entertainment.
Children's entertainer George the Farmer entertained people of all ages at his at two shows in the field days auditorium.
Mixing music and stories, the aim of the performances was to educate children about the agriculture industry.
Large crowds gathered watching watch incredible feats of gravity at the popular Motocross FMX Stunt Shows where riders performed tricks off steep ramps.
Horsham residents Pat Hennessy and Danny Murray attended the event on Wednesday. Mr Murray said he wanted to take a look at what was new in the agriculture industry.
"I haven't been out here for a long time. I had the day off and decided to come out and have a look," he said.
Ballarat couple Russell and Helena Jackson travelled up to the Wimmera for the day.
"We have a history of coming up here. We're retired but I still work in the agriculture machinery industry," Mr Jackson said.
"We like to come and have a look at what's new and different in machinery, so it keeps you up-to-date. It's also a good day out."
One of the most popular attractions at the field days is the live snake shows. This was the ninth year Black Snake Productions had held shows at the field days. Wildlife and snake displays were also a feature of the site.
Owner Mike Alexander said the aim of the shows was to educate people about snake safety and the reptiles' importance to the ecosystem.
"One of the most awesome things about coming to this event over the years was seeing a change in peoples' attitudes. When we first starting coming, every second person was talking about killing snakes, and now the same people have a completely different attitude," he said.
"It's really important that we maintain a good relationship with flora and fauna; that's helps us get better results with crops and stock. Hopefully people get a better respect for snake and birds of prey."
The 2019 Wimmera Machinery Field Days will run until Thursday.
