Sergeant Andrew North said police intercepted three people driving between 130km/h and 150km/h.
"On Thursday night police intercepted an international driver on the Wimmera Highway driving 150km/h in a 100km/h zone near Edenhope," he said.
"The man was travelling from Melbourne to Naracoorte, and said he was speeding to get to work. He will face a six months suspension which will start in 28 days time."
Police also intercepted an Edenhope man driving 138km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Wimmera Highway near Edenhope on Thursday morning. He will also face a six month suspension.
A South Australian woman was caught driving 137km/h on the Natimuk-Frances Road on February 28.
"She said she was distracted and wasn't paying attention to her speed," Sergeant North said.
Sergeant North said police would be in full force this long-weekend for Operation Aird.
"This is a timely reminder to drivers to be safe. Police will be specifically targeting excessive speeders and fatigued drivers, as well as drug and drink drivers," he said.
"All police will be working with Highway Patrol units to operate random breath tests across the region."
Operation Aird will run until 11.59pm on Monday.
