The Bullants were in the box-seat against Colts after bowling them out for just 83 in the Horsham Cricket Association final.

But rain halted play, leaving the Bullants stranded in the dressing rooms as the clocked ticked down toward a Colts victory.

The game had to be completed before 4PM at City Oval in order for the A Grade grand final to get underway. If the game finished as a draw, Colts would be premiers as they finished higher on the one-day ladder.

But with just 55 minutes left in the day, the rain ceased and players were rushed back onto the ground.

The Bullants had to chase down 83 in just 12 overs, and with some terrific batting from man-of-the-match Justtin Combe (40 not out), they were able to reach the total with just five balls to spare.

Bullants captain Kent Hair said it was a thrilling way to secure a flag.

"We were very excited to get the win - it was looking like we weren't going to get back on but the rain cleared just in time," Hair said.

"We knew we were only going to get about 12 overs so we had to go pretty hard right from the start.

"It was a fantastic effort from the boys and especially from Justtin Combe. It was a great effort. He led us there and was backed up by Jordy McDonald (13) and Jeremy Schmidt (12 not out)."

Combe was also one of the key men with the ball for the Bullants, as he, Heath Lang and John Heard each took three wickets. Heard finished with astounding bowling figures of 3-3 from his three overs, helping tear through the Colts as the bowling set-up the Bullants win.
