POLICE are investigating a theft on a farming property near Kaniva.

Kaniva's Sergeant Darren Wright said a portable sheep yard has been stolen from a farm at Lawloit.
The theft happened between March 5th and the 11th.
"We had a theft of a portable sheep yard, which is fence panels that are stored on a trailer, but can be assembled on the spot," he said.
Sergeant Wright said there are no suspects at this point, but police are appealing for information.
He said people could contact the Kaniva Police Station on 5392 2244.
Sergeant Wright said it was a timely reminder for farmers to secure their equipment and report any suspicious activity in rural areas.
