Cathy Vogelsang appeared at Horsham Magistrates' Court on Thursday. The court heard that she had accosted the victim, who was her former doctor, for more than a year.
Police prosecutor Leading Senior Constable Kass Myers read out the summary of offences.
"In October 2017, the accused started messaging the victim every day until he reported to police in November. The themes of messages related to pursuing the victim romantically," Leading Senior Constable Myers said.
"On January 16, 2018, the accused sent the victim a message saying, 'I can get quite ugly'. It caused the victim to feel quite threatened.
"In September 2018, the accused sent text messages to the victim after finding their number on Facebook. In November 2018, the accused messaged the victim's friend on Facebook asking about the victim. The victim responded to the text messages and said he would contact police."
The court heard the victim gave an impact statement to police.
"The messages made the victim feel tormented, stressed and concerned about his safety and the safety of his family," Leading Senior Constable Myers said.
On December 4, Vogelsang attended Horsham Police Station and made full admissions to her behaviour.
"She was remorseful and said she 'didn't realise how extensive the messages were'," Leading Senior Constable Myers said.
Magistrate Mark Stratmann said he recommended Vogelsang for a diversion plan.
"Matters like this that escalate very quickly are serious in nature. There is a possibility of incarceration when matters such as this are considered serious offending," Mr Stratmann said.
Mr Stratmann ordered Vogelsang pay a $350 donation to the White Ribbon Foundation, write a letter of apology to the victim and must have "good behaviour" until the plan was completed.
