All three chasing teams couldn't catch their opponents in A Grade, with West Wimmera securing their first two-day win in Horsham Cricket Association to end the season on a high. Jung fell 82 runs short of the Warriors day-one total of 311, with Ash Dickinson taking five wickets to stop the Tigers. 

Rup-Minyip came the closest in the chase, falling 21 runs short of Homers 212. Rup-Minyip were lead by a sensational 90 from opener Jamie Byrne on day-two, who guided them into a winnable position. 

Byrne formed some solid middle-order partnerships with Dan Schaper (24 runs) and Adam Carter (47) as Rup-Miniyip looked a chance to hand Homers their first loss of the season at 4-183.

But Carter fell to the bowling of Eddie Landwehr and the side collapsed, losing their next six wickets while adding just eight runs. Jarred Combe (5-20) and Eddie Landwehr (4-35) bowled well to stop the upset.

Captain Travis Hair said it was a tough finish to the day.

"To fall 20 short was really disappointing after we got off to a reasonable start and did all the hard work," he said.

"We thought if we could bat the overs out we would get there but obviously we couldn't do it.

"But we looked pretty strong and in a good position. Adam and Jamie both batted really well."

Rup-Minyip will get another chance against Homers as they face off in a knockout semi-final next weekend.

"They are a good side and are obviously the yardstick, but we proved that we're competitive and can beat anyone on our day," Hair said.

Meanwhile Laharum couldn't win a finals place, falling 95 runs short against the Horsham Saints.

The Saints will now host the Jung Tigers next weekend in an exciting match-up. The top four teams in A Grade are evenly poised and could all conceivably challenge for the premiership.

In B Grade, Colts held out against Blackheath-Dimboola to secure the minor premiership and a clash against Lubeck-Murtoa next weekend. Blackheath-Dimboola fell just nine runs short in the run-chase, and will face-off against one-day premiers the Bullants in the first round of finals.

Bullants secured third place by defeating Lubeck-Murtoa by 52 runs. Too many fell cheaply for the Mudlarks with only three players reaching double figures, led by Graeme Reddie (52).

In C Grade, Colts chased down Horsham Saints' 202 to sneak into finals and set up a match against minor premiers Rup-Minyip. Homers meanwhile will host Blackheath-Dimboola.
