Horsham's Ella Friend made her NAB League debut for the Greater Western Victoria Rebels on Saturday in the side's tough round two loss to the Calder Cannons.
Friend started on the field for the contest and played alongside fellow Wimmera footballers Maggie Carris, Ella Wood and Nekaela Butler in the representative team.
The Rebels stayed within reach of their opponents for the first half of the match, trailing by just seven points 13-20 at half time.
But they were blown away in the second half, booting just one goal in the last quarter while the Cannons piled on nine for a 21-79 final score.
While the Rebels were outclassed in the contest, Horsham's Maggie Caris fought hard in the ruck and was named second in the Rebels best.
