The new competition brings the best players from across the state into four teams for a round-robin tournament. James earned selection due to her impressive performances with the Western Waves across the summer.
James played with Renegades Country on day-one of the tournament as as they comfortably defeated Renegades Metro.
James - competing as a bottom-age player in the under-17s - did not get to bat as Renegades Country made 6-235. But she did get to bowl two overs as they dismissed their Melbourne-based opponents for 138.
The side has two more games to come on Sunday against Stars Metro and Stars Country.
