Publican Carol Wall has recently joined the #Beefitup campaign, which is being rolled out across Victoria.
"We sell a lot of steak at the royal mail, so I'm quite happy to donate the $1 from each," Mrs Wall said. "It all happened on Wednesday: they came here and we had a discussion about it."
She said Warracknabeal's community Men's Shed will receive the money that people donate through their meals.
Ms Wall is planning to sell the pub later this year, after her husband Laurie passed away last year.
"It's so I can have a bit of time with my family. The people in the town are quite happy and they've wished me luck and they hope it sells," she said.
Campaign manager Anita Donlon launched #Beefitup in Tamworth in January.
"The reason it's unique is because all the money raised stays in the same town by going to a nominated community group," she said.
"Because we have a big focus on mental health, we do prefer community groups like the Mens' Shed that have a focus on mental empowerment or which helps at a humanitarian level.
Ms Donlon said pubs in Wycheproof and Bendigo were also on board, while they were hoping to involve butcher shops, restaurants and cafes from acorss the Wimmera as well.
"It's about paying homage to every "steak" holder in the industry from paddock to plate. People like truck drivers and cleaners also play a part in the fabric of farming communities."
