Kaniva police will issue summonses to a 54-year-old man and 43-year-old woman, both from Kaniva, in relation to the theft of a purse from the Kaniva Community Roadhouse in February.
Kaniva police have also interviewed a Wolseley farmer for allowing a fire on his property to get out control in April last year.
The fire burnt a large area along the Dinyarrak Road north west of Kaniva, threatening neighbouring stock and land.
Police allege the the farmer had been burning off his land and left the fire unattended.
"The permits issued by local council are a privilege and basic fire awareness guidelines must be followed," Kaniva Leading Senior Constable Phill Shiells said.
"With immediate and appropriate action of the neighbour and CFA, very serious consequences were avoided."
