Despite a last quarter comeback, the Rebels went down to the Dandenong Stingrays by one goal in an exhilarating affair.
Jorgensen said it was an incredible match to be a part of.
"It was like nothing I'd ever played in before," Jorgensen said. "Since it was such a close game, the pace and the excitement was at a whole another level."
The Rebels got off to a slow start and trailed by 28 points at half time, before a last quarter comeback got them back into the contest.
Jorgensen was a key part, as he found his feet in the second half and booted two last quarter goals.
"I probably didn't have much input in the game up until half time, but in the second half I got involved and was able to hit the scoreboard late," Jorgensen said.
"Hopefully I can build on that. It is a big adjustment from local footy around here, you have to work really hard to get involved."
Jorgensen combined with Horsham Demon Matt Lloyd, Horsham Saint Mitch Martin and Ararat's Jayden Wright to kick the Rebels' final seven goals of the game.
Martin kicked one and was named the Rebels second best on the day, Lloyd kicked three and was also in the best, while Wright booted two goals.
Jorgensen said he hopes to keep building and developing with the elite coaching.
"It's my first time in the program and it's been a really good experience to be around the elite coaching environment," he said.
