NEW shed facilities introduced at the Wimmera Lodge will give resident more activities to look forward to than ever before.
Residents are keen to use the new activity shed, which includes a fully-equipped workshop for crafting do-it-yourself projects.
It also includes a games room facility where people can play pool, darts and board games.
Resident Ian Baker and his wife moved to the lodge from a farm in Pimpinio.
Mr Barker is part of the Dunmunkle Sumpoilers and said he intended to build an engine in the new workshop.
Manager Sue Ahern said a large number of retirees outside of Horsham were making the big move to the lodge.
"There is a sense of community and there is a connection with neighbours as they fall in the same demographics," she said.
KeyInvest chief executive officer and owner of Wimmera Lodge Steve Aspinall said such facilities would help promote independent living in the village.
