VICROADS has advised that the Western Highway has re-opened at Drendels Road.
Traffic in both directions is sharing lanes under the control of traffic management.
The lane closures are under the control of Victoria Police. All lanes will be re-opened when it's safe to do so.
VicRoads suggests drivers allow extra time when travelling through the area.
AN Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the injured truck driver was taken to Wimmera Base Hospital by road ambulance in a stable condition.
COUNTRY Fire Authority district 17 operations officer Peter Lucas said emergency services crews were called to the scene at 10.26pm.
He said one truck had ran up the back of another truck and one driver was trapped.
"Emergency services crews were amazed that when they got the door off, the driver was able to step out and walk to the stretcher," he said.
"Hopefully it's a good omen of what is to come over a very busy Easter weekend. It was a wonderful result."
Mr Lucas said both vehicles were B-doubles, with one carrying canola and the other carrying building supplies.
He said there was a fuel leak onto the road.
"All the connectors between the B-doubles snapped and some canola spilled onto the road so there is quite a big clean up effort. The road will be closed for some time," he said.
Mr Lucas urged motorists to drive safely on the road this Easter.
A VICTORIA Police spokeswoman said one male truck driver was trapped for a short time. He has since been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the truck that was hit was not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
A VICROADS spokesman said there was no estimated time for when the Western Highway would re-open.
He said one of the trucks was carrying canola oil which would take "some time" to clean up. The other truck was carrying building supplies.
THE Western Highway is closed both directions at Drendels Road due to a collision involving two trucks. Emergency services are directing traffic at the scene.
VicRoads has advised motorists to avoid the area, and has suggested to consider using the Wimmera Highway or Henty Highway as alternatives.
EMERGENCY crews are attending a collision between two trucks on the Western Highway at Pimpinio.
The incident happened at 10.30am on Wednesday and a number of emergency vehicles are on the scene.
A Victorian Police spokeswoman said appeared that one truck rear-ended into another truck.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said paramedics were on the scene.
A State Emergency Services spokeswoman said SES crews from Horsham were on the scene.
