Volunteers rattled tins across the entire region on Friday, raising a grand total of $255,200.
At 11pm on Friday, Horsham had raised $51,748; while Ararat raised $43,726; and Stawell raised $36,739.
In other towns, Telangatuk East raised $13,647; Dimboola raised $5230; Nhill raised $4260; and Goroke raised $3752.
Rupanyup volunteer Kimberley Oliver was keen to help out on Friday.
"We have kids, parents and volunteers from the Country Fire Authority and Ambulance Victoria help out each year," she said.
"The kids get very excited and love seeing who can get the heaviest tin."
The town raised $2900, which Ms Oliver said was down slightly on previous years.
"We missed our Friday night meat raffle because the Rupanyup Pub has closed," she said.
Good Friday Appeal Horsham area manager June Clissold said she was pleased with how the fundraising efforts went this year.
"It was a really good day - we had about eight fire trucks go out," she said.
"We had lots of firefighters and lots of kids collecting."
Ms Clissold said it was a long week leading up to Good Friday trying to organise everyone.
She said she thought they would be short of volunteers at first, but Horsham East Rotary Club had extra people willing to help.
Overall the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal raised more than $18 million statewide.
Good Friday Appeal director Anne Randall said the final tally could not have been reached without the dedicated communities across the state.
"All the generous donations go towards state-of-the-art equipment and technology, patient and family-centred care, research, education and training at the wonderful Royal Children's Hospital," she said.
