In the Horsham District League round three clash, the Baggies will host the Tigers at Stawell's North Park.
It has been a few restful weeks for the dominant centre-half back, owing to a groin injury in the first five minutes of the round two match.
Scott was sore in the first game against Natimuk United but unable to rest due to no rotations left on the bench.
Scott battled it out in the forward line - clearly running at half pace for the ball due to heavy cramping.
"I didn't have anything else wrong and thought I would pull up ok and have some general soreness," he said.
"I felt a slight niggle during pre-season and thought it was nothing.
"In the first five minutes of the round two game I went to smother a ball and felt it go twang.
"I felt the pain straight away but didn't want to go off and let everyone down. When I came off I was worried it was going to be worse than what it was."
Part of the Baggies leadership group, 22-year-old Scott will tread in unknown waters heading into Saturday's clash.
"This is the first time I will have missed football due to injury," he said.
"I'm lucky it's a mild strain and it wont rule me out for 6-7 weeks.
"I will be on the bench and it will give me another view to monitor the back line and see what we are doing right and what we're doing wrong."
Scott played his junior football at both Swifts and Warriors, switching when a Rebels position was on the line.

"I moved back to Stawell when I was involved in pre-season with the Rebels," he said.
"I didn't make the cut and started my senior football career with Stawell, where I played 50 games.
"After chatting with Scott (Carey) leading into the new season in 2017 I re-joined the Baggies."
A big part of returning to the Swifts was Scott's acceptance into the team's leadership group.
"It was a privilege to get it at such a young age but Scott (Carey) kept us all pretty level headed with the role," he said.
"This season we rotate through five captains each week - to add to my injury, round two was my week as captain as well."
When talking about the depth of the side this season, Scott said recruiting and the maturity of the players coming through is something he is excited about.
"We are lucky we signed on Todd Matthews, a known reliable backman in the region," he said.
"Knowing we have Todd back there it gives me the ability to run up the field a bit knowing he will be back there and has the experience and ability to cover that run."
Looking the part of a natural backman, Scott has played majority of his football in the back half of the ground.
"I played all my juniors in the back line but came across to the Swifts as the centre-half forward," he said.
"I love coming to training and gives you a purpose to work towards something - and even better you get to do it with your mates."
"Last season I went back into the backline - a place I feel comfortable.
"Everyone loves to kick goals - but I know I'm a backman. If you play up forward you only have so much space to run forward and attack.
"In the backline you have a lot more room to run in to. I love the challenge - love shutting people down. I love being able to stop opposition players getting their hands on the footy."
The question every footballer must answer; what makes them step out onto the field on those cold winter days.
"I love the challenge and being with your mates," Scott said.
"It's really social and that's probably what I love the most.
"I love coming to training and gives you a purpose to work towards something - and even better you get to do it with your mates."
