It was a tight encounter across the entire 60 minutes, as the Saints trailed at every break before snatching victory in the final term 47-46.
Saints co-coach Ellie Thomas said the home crowd in Apsley were a big factor in the victory.
"It was a very intense finish," Thomas said. "I think the home crowd got us through in the end. The supporters were so loud on the sidelines."
Thomas was named the Saints' best on court, as she showed her versatility in the final term. Thomas scored 20 goals in the first three quarters playing goal attack, before moving to goal defense for the final quarter.
It proved to be an inspired move, as Edenhope-Apsley's defence got on top and helped them secure a come from behind victory.
"We were four goals down going into the quarter so we thought we would change it up a bit," Thomas said.
"It was good to see the versatility of our players, that I could move the girls around and we could all still play well."
The Saints were able to restrain Kalkee to just nine goal attempts in the last quarter, as they moved to 3-0 for the season.
"We just didn't drop our heads," Thomas said. "The biggest difference at one stage would've been about seven goals, but the girls didn't even look at the scoreboard. It was just about what you could control on court."
For Kalkee, it was their second nail-biting loss of the season after they went down to Harrow-Balmoral by just five goals in a tight round one encounter.
The Saints are joined in the realm of the undefeated by Harrow-Balmoral who had a thumping victory against Rupanyup.
After a convincing first half, it was no mercy from the Southern Roos as they held Rupanyup to just three goals in the second half and won 19-65.
Laharum also had a convincing win against Taylors Lake to jump to the top of the ladder. Laharum have shown their strength across the first three rounds, winning by an average margin of 48 goals.
Last season's grand finalists seem to have been further strengthened by the addition of Zandria Malone in the off-season, as she was named in their best for the third consecutive week.
Noradjuha-Quantong were meanwhile involved in a tight finish for the second consecutive round, winning by just two goals against an improved Jeparit-Rainbow.
The Storm came home strong in the final term but couldn't overcome a five goal deficit in the last term.
