Creek set his hopes high when he moved to the United States last August, and his decision was validated when he earned a chance in the NBA with the Brooklyn Nets in January.
Creek went on to earn two more 10-day contracts before signing a season-long extension with the Minnesota Timberwolves in April.
In total, Creek played five NBA games, scoring 21 points and living out his boyhood dream.
"I'm going to remember it for the rest of my life - regardless of if I ever get to play another second in the NBA again," Creek said.
"Some of those moments will stay with me forever."
Creek has been invited to train with the Timberwolves during the pre-season and said he was determined to keep chasing his NBA dream.
"It's about giving the NBA all I have, trying to take another step further and getting myself a long-term deal," Creek said.
"I'm really looking forward to going back there and getting some work in with them."
If Creek doesn't earn an NBA deal, he will return to the NBL in Australia where he has signed a provisional contract with new franchise the South-East Melbourne Phoenix.
Creek said while he was determined to find his spot in the NBA, he would be excited to play for the Phoenix if it did not work out.
Creek said playing in the United States, so far away from home, came with its downsides.
"It was certainly very tough ... at times it was very lonely," Creek said.
"There is a misconception that you're living the dream and life is just great all the time, but realistically it is a hard job.
"I was on my own over there. I didn't have anyone to talk to every day, I couldn't call people at all hours.
"It was an amazing journey and I was very fortunate, but at the same time it can be tough."
Creek said he had enjoyed coming home to Australia during the off-season.
Before he returns to the United States in three weeks' time, Creek will return to his home town to host a basketball clinic on May 10.
Creek said he was eager to inspire the next generation of aspiring Horsham athletes.
"I'm so proud to be from Horsham, I have so much love for the place," Creek said.
"I just want to give back and let people know that anything is achievable ... to tell kids to have a dream and chase it. If someone can come back and inspire them to do that then my job is done."
Creek said there were a host of Horsham basketballers that similarly inspired him as a junior.
"Guys like Tim Pickert were big for me," Creek said. "And when he played his 3,000th game for the Hornets or whatever crazy amount it was, he thanked me, and I was honestly like, no, thank you, you're the reason I want to play this game.
"Aaron Bruce was someone I watched when he was in college. I remember watching his highlight tape on YouTube and "Land Down Under" was the theme song.
"Watching Damien Skurrie dunking the ball ... my coach Owen Hughan was a big inspiration too.
"When I was young it was those people and those memories that really inspired me to be great. Now I want to give back."
