I have enjoyed the journey and it has helped me to develop my leadership skills along the way.
- Charlie Inkster
Charlie Inkster was presented with the BP Award at a special presentation at Warracknabeal Girl Guides recently.
Charlie has been a member of Girl Guides Victoria since 2013 and achieved her Junior BP in 2016.
The Girl Guides Australia BP Award involves completing 18 challenges across six sections.
Her BP award is the culmination of three years' work.
Charlie's challenges included climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, helping and putting together a promise ceremony for two new Guides, organising an 'Amazing Race' to the five World Centres, organising a hike along the Yarriambiack Creek and planning a sleepover at the Guide Hall. She also completed a junior first aid course and assisted with a variety of environmental projects as part of her service challenges.
Charlie thanked all her past and present leaders for their help.
"I have enjoyed the journey and it has helped me to develop my leadership skills along the way," Charlie added.
Charlie will receive her certificate at a state presentation ceremony in Melbourne on May 26.
