The atmosphere was buoyant at the final training session on Wednesday night, with 34 players pressing their case for selection at City Oval.
Head coach Nick Pekin said it was terrific to have a great turnout for interleague training this year.
"Having that squad of 34, the depth and enthusiasm tonight was outstanding," Pekin said.
"Being back on City Oval, not only for myself because I love it here, but for everyone else to be on a good track and train with quality people around the league, it's unreal."
Pekin said selecting the final side - with the assistance of Stuart Farr and Chris Walsh - was a difficult task.
"Selection was really tough but that was a great problem to have throughout the whole process," he said.
"Guys will be very disappointed but I really hope they enjoyed the experience and take it back to their club level."
A player is selected from every side in the competition except for Rupanyup and Taylors Lake.
Reigning premiers Harrow-Balmoral have the most players in the side with five.
