The Saints trailed for the entire game until a vital goal in the final quarter lifted them to a 2.6 (18) to 2.3 (15) win.
Coach Gary Hallam said the excitement of the win was felt beyond the playing group.
"As a coach, I was very proud, but the parents I think felt even prouder than me. They were all jumping up and down," he said.
"It was a really good feeling in the clubrooms afterwards as well, watching the girls sing the song."
Sarah Jane-Kennedy and Kayetlan Harris were the Saints' goal-kickers.
Ruby Redford continued her stellar form and was named her side's best, alongside Lucy Heinrich and Olivia Brilliant.
Hallam said it was a good team performance, with many still playing their first few games of football.
"It was absolutely fantastic from where we started and with the girls who are playing for the first time their contributions have been absolutely amazing," he said.
Hallam said regardless of the results, it was great to see his team enjoying their football.
"We're just encouraging the girls to have a bit of fun, and that seems to be working. We've gone from having 12 or 13 registered in the first game to having 21 or 22 registered now."
Elsewhere, the Horsham Demons extended their unbeaten run and moved to second on the ladder with an impressive win against Stawell.
Lauren Sykes was named Horsham's best in the 4.9 (33) to 1.3 (9) win, with the goals shared among the team.
