Western Highway activist Darren Turner appeared at Ararat Magistrates Court on Monday after spending more than three weeks on remand.

He appeared in relation to charges of driving while disqualified and failing to appear on bail.
"He plead guilty to those charges and was convicted and discharged," police prosecutor Acting Sergeant David Cosgriff said.
"He spent just over three weeks on remand, so that was taken into account. It is the end of his matters.
"It was heard quickly and he even apologised to the court as the case finished."
Turner has been a vocal supporter against the Western Highway duplication, playing a leading role in protests to prevent the project continuing.
