Cast members have been asked to perform a musical number from its recent production of Rock of Ages at the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria awards later this year.
President Simon Dandy it was a big honour.
"We performed a number from RENT in 2017, and Godspell in 2012, so it's a great honour to be asked again," he said.
The guild has asked the cast to perform The Final Countdown at the ceremony. Rock of Ages director Erin Boutcher said the number involved the majority of cast members.
"It's an interesting choice, but it showcases a lot of different things such as acting and choreography. Hopefully most of the cast will be able to make it to the ceremony," she said.
The Music Theatre Guild of Victoria awards are open to all amateur theatre groups across the state.
Horsham Arts Council has been nominated at every awards ceremony since 2008. Last year the council took home an award for its design of the four Audrey II puppets used in Little Shop of Horrors.
The Music Theatre Guild of Victoria awards ceremony will be held on December 14 in Ballarat.
The council's next production, Mamma Mia, will be staged in October. The show will be cast in coming weeks.
