Central to the Burras' success has been several talented arrivals, including defensive gun Alex Lang.
Lang arrived on the back of a successful season with Edenhope-Apsley in the Horsham District league, where she was honoured as the league's best under-21 player.
Despite last year's success, Lang said it wasn't easy making the move.
"When I first started I was really stressed about coming across. I knew a lot of the Minyip-Murtoa girls, but everyone had talked up the difference between the two leagues so that was something that was a bit daunting to begin with," she said.
"But in the end it's just a game of netball, it's going to be the same wherever you go and you just get used to it."
Lang said it was tough to leave the Saints after a long shared history, but was finding her feet in the Wimmera league.
"I had been at Edenhope-Apsley for 10 years, so it was a big change. But a lot of the girls there had moved on and I felt like I was one of the last to leave, so it wasn't as hard in a way," she said.
"It's been a bit different, obviously, with the league change and everything, but it's been really good so far.
"Instead of having a week where you play a really hard game and the next it's easier, everything is really consistent. Every week it's a high standard and I think that shows in that there's a lot of games decided by only one or two goals."
The Burras have fielded a young, new-look side under first-time coach Billie Bibby, making the transition easier.
"When I came in everyone's position wasn't set and it gave me a bit more of a chance to have a go. I found going into new clubs before the position had been taken for a long time, so it was hard to make my way in," Lang said. "So, it gave me a good chance to get some time on the court."
With some stand-out performances under her belt and a finals tilt on the cards, Lang said Minyip-Murtoa was starting to feel like home.
"The social side of the club is fantastic, everyone gets around it. On a Saturday night you walk into the clubroom and everyone has stuck around. It's just a great morale we have out there," she said.
The Burras travel to face the Warrack Eagles. The Warrack Eagles haven't lost since the opening round and will be hoping to end Minyip-Murtoa's perfect run.
Elsewhere, Horsham hosts Nhill and will be hoping to recover from a one-goal loss last-weekend.
Dimboola travels to play the Southern Mallee Giants.
