The event is part of the 2019 Art Is... Festival and will be celebrated on June 8 at Maydale Reserve, Horsham. The event will start at 6pm and will run until late.
The bonfire will be the main highlight of the event starting at 6.30pm. It will also feature light projections, buskers and live performances.
Art Is... Festival general manager Sarah Natali said the event was a pilot project this year. She said the bonfire reminded her of childhood memories.
"I am from the UK and we have bonfire night every year. That is the thing I miss most of the UK. Australian people don't really get the opportunity to do a big bonfire so this is giving kids of our regions the experience that I loved as a child," she said.
Spring into Winter project co-ordinator Hannah French said she would manage the projections for the event, and that there would be two main projections.
"We will be showing some shadow play work by Jillian Pearce who is a Natimuk based artist," she said.
Projections containing images of the Wimmera landscape will also be displayed. Ms French said the event would also include projections of an animated head onto a tree.
"I worked with three young people in Natimuk for a storytelling session. We made up stories from a perspective of what it would be like to be a tree in the Wimmera," she said. "I asked the young people to draw some illustrations which will be used for the projection."
Ms French also worked with artist Nichola Clarke for the event who designed flowers made of milk bottles.
"We will a have a solar garden illuminated with the milk bottle flowers in the evening," she said.
Horsham Agriculture Society events manager Andrea Cross said they were expecting about 100 people for the event.
"It is a winter warmer so we expect people to rug up, put their hats and gloves on, come down and sit around the fire," she said.
