The day was observed as part of the 'Crazy Socks 4 Docs' cause. The cause started in 2017 and is aims to raise awareness of the mental health of doctors and health practitioners.
Lister House Medical Clinic practice manager Rob Phillips said the entire staff wore colourful socks to raise awareness of the cause.
"It's basically to promote awareness about mental health issue with not only patients but also doctors - the fact they sometimes find it tough as well. It's about starting a conversation," he said.

Mr Phillips said it was the first time the clinic had observed the day, but hoped to keep it ongoing every year.
"We will always wear our socks to remind ourselves and other people that it is an ongoing issue with doctors who deal with issues on a daily basis." he said.
The clinic sold colourful socks for $10 a pair on the day, with proceeds going to charity. Mr Phillips said the charity was yet to be determined, but would most likely be a mental health charity.
Clinic receptionist Julie Leskie-Magee said the health industry was very supportive of mental health.
A bird lover herself, Ms Magee wore a flamingo patterned socks to support the cause.
"It's been amazing how not only staff but patients are coming in and purchasing the socks. I am hoping to see some socks when I go out for lunch," she said.
