Haven owner/trainer/driver Bernie Poulton has The Butcher engaged in the first event at 12.04pm. The 6YO gelding tired over the final stages of its debut run at Ararat three weeks ago, but should strip fitter here.
Stawell horseman Les McLeod lines up Aerodyne Guy in the same race. The 4YO resumes after a nine-month absence on the back of a winning trial, in slow time at Maryborough last Sunday.
Handy Stawell-trained mare Glamors Symbol lines up in the second event for Stawell's Owen Martin. The 5YO bay shines over the sprint trip and Martin hopes she can bounce bounce back her after putting in a couple of below-par efforts.
Haven owner/trainer Justin Lane will start Polar Opposite in the third race, handing over the reins to Grant Campbell. The 7YO gelding looks well suited from the pole draw.
In race five, the Connelly family's 3YO Fourth In Line will back up from its debut second placing at Hamilton last Sunday. The half-brother to Bou Chard showed plenty of ability with a strong finish.
In the same race, Ararat trainer Michael Bellman has Gracie Cullen set to resume after a few months off. Last time in work she streeted the opposition to score by 40 metres at Wedderburn and looks tough to beat here.
There's a full field squaregaiters engaged in the sixth event and a host of local trainers trying to knock off backmarker and pre-post favourite Bootleg Bert (Alex Ashwood) after its stunning performance at Hamilton.
In Sunday's event, the Rod Carberry stable runner John Richard, Michelle Wight's ultra-consistent mare Outback Shadow and Barry Dunn's in-form gelding Keayang Bazooka all have legitimate claims for a victory.

Justin Lane produced 4YO gelding Crossroader first up from a spell to capture a $7000 C0 contest at Hamilton on Sunday. The pacer headed to the paddock after finishing fourth on debut at Horsham in late November and looks to have matured during the break.
