Murtoa Police Sergeant Brendan Khan said police received a complaint on Wednesday about speeding trucks in the area. Roads around the farm are currently 40km/h.
"We detected a semi-trailer travelling on the Dimboola-Minyip Road driving 99km/h in the 40km/kh zone," he said.
Police also discovered the 69-year-old man from Macedon had no entries in his work diary for the day.
The man was issued a speeding infringement notice of $1854, plus a $661 fine for failing to fill in his work diary. He also lost his licence for 12 months.
"We are pleading for truck drivers to slow down around the area and take caution as it is a work site," Sergeant Khan said.
