The band will be performing at Horsham's Royal Hotel on Friday.
The performance will start at 9pm and runs until late. The performance is expected to draw a crowd of about 300 people.
Hotel licensee Grant Fiedler said hotel hadn't seen a live performance in a long time.
Mr Fiedler took over the hotel in December last year. He said it was a new initiative for the hotel to introduce more live performances.
"I have a music background and was a music teacher before. I am very passionate about live music," he said.
"We have a fantastic venue here, I would like to see Royal Hotel being a premier music venue in Horsham and have quality acts. There will be a lot more performances kicking off from now on."
He said the band performing the ABBA classics were a sure crowd-pleaser.
"I have seen several cover groups and people having a great time. By having FABBA it's pretty well guaranteed," he said.
Hotel manager Paul Jones said the event would see people travelling from other Wimmera towns.
"One lady is travelling and bringing all her ABBA costumes down," he said.
"It is something different and we are hoping to turn it into a very successful night."
Mr Jones said about 100 tickets had been sold for the event so far.
"If it's something new, it has to be done 100 per cent well. We thoroughly put everything into it. When people walk away and they just go 'wow we are coming back', that's how we would know that we have done our job," he said.
Mr Jones said the motto behind the hotel taking up the new initiative was to attract people of all ages.
"We just don't target one category of people, we want it to be a pub for everyone so that everyone feels welcomed," he said.
"We have headed towards a very customer service type of venue. We go out of our way to do those little extra things.
"We have already seen the dividends coming through. We have had feedback from the public about the changes and how comfortable they feel in our environment."
He said DJ performances, attracting younger crowd, would still continue to play on other days.
"We are not trying to transition into one direction, we are trying broaden more," he said.
Show tickets are priced at $25, for the show only, or $40 including a meal.
Spot prizes will be given to people best dressed in the 1970s-era ABBA costumes.
Mr Jones said people who buy tickets can enter their names for a chance to win a dinner for two at the hotel.
He said people can call on 5382 1255 and say the words 'Golden Seventies' to enter their names for the raffle draw.
The names of the winners will be announced on the 'Royal Hotel Horsham' Facebook page at 5pm on Friday.
