Following a successful interleague campaign earlier in the year, the 17-and-under Wimmera side qualified for the association championships played at Frankston on Sunday.
Despite being competitive all day, the side was unable to claim a win from its five matches.
Coach Gayle Leith said she was proud of how her team went about it, with many battling through fatigue.
"It is a long trip down there to the other side of Melbourne, and many of the girls played two games on the Saturday before so considering all of that they did a great job," she said.
"The pressure on them was just like playing in an A Grade game. The contest was a bit harder which will be a good thing for them to learn from."
The scoreboard doesn't always tell the story, and that was true for us on the day.
The Wimmera team's closest match was a 20-15 loss against eventual champions St Albans and Caroline Springs Netball Association.
"I think that game showed how competitive we were. We were only down by one at half time and kept close until the very end," Leith said.
"That was a reflection on the kind of netball we were capable of."
The representative netball season finished at the weekend. Leith was pull of praise for the commitment to the process from her players.
"It is a big ask for these girls to be training and playing so often," she said.
"They have earned a well deserved break.
"The next representative opportunity is in October for state trials for girls from across all associations in the Wimmera."
The nine girls in the team represented seven of the Wimmera NA's nine clubs.
Leith said it was great to see girls from different clubs come together.
"The whole idea of the squad was to have the girls learn from one another and different coaches and to adapt to different situations," she said.
Danieka Clayton and Dakota Cosson represented Stawell Warriors in the team, alongside Ararat's Racquel Scott and Delaney McLoughlin.
"Danieka has been one of our biggest improvers. We put her in a lot of positions she wasn't used to and she really stood up," Leith said.
"Racquel Scott was very consistent in defence and Delaney really showed her never give up attitude."
